Party Wall Agreement

During the planning of a loft conversion, any work that takes place may affect your neighbour, so the party wall agreement 1996 may apply.

If you are planning a conversion in a semi-detached or terraced property, this is almost certainly the case, as a typical conversion will warrant work taking place on the roof or walls of the building.

We can offer help and advice in regards to the party wall agreement and any actions you must take, such as notifying your neighbour so that any disagreements can be resolved. We will assist with every step of the planning process, so don’t hesitate to call us if you have any questions about the party wall agreement.

If an independent Party Wall surveyor is appointed then it is the responsibility of the client to settle any financial agreement. LMB Loft Conversions will do all we can to help with the process.
