Property Refurbishment on Grimwade Avenue, Croydon

Step 1 – Is your Loft Suitable for a Loft Conversion

Head height – as a general rule the ceiling height in your loft should be a minimum of 2.3 metres in order to achieve suitable head height.

However, if you do not have the required head height, don’t be put off.  There are ways that a loft conversion can be achieved, our surveyor can discuss with you.

Step 2 – What do you Want to Achieve from Having the Extra Space?

A loft conversion can be one of the most cost-effective ways to increase space and adds value to your home.  A loft conversion can provide a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a guest room, study/studio, games room or even a home cinema – the possibilities are endless!  Considering what you want to achieve helps when it comes to LMB advising you on the best use of the space.

Step 3 – Expert Advice

Once you have contacted us, we will arrange an initial consultation visit at your property with one of our experienced design consultants.   Using our bespoke iPad presentation of design options and specifications, our design consultant will help you make your decision on the style of loft conversion to meet your needs, including specialist modifications such as Juliet balconies and bi-folding doors.

Step 4 – Design Services – Bringing your Loft to Life

LMB are able to provide architectural design services.  Working with you on the design of your loft and the best use of the space, they will carry out a full survey and provide professional detailed drawings for your approval including advising if your property requires any planning permission for the works.   The majority of loft conversions can be carried out under permitted development rights, meaning no planning permission is necessary.
